Football-Zweitligist VfB Stuttgart has celebrated a successful general rehearsal for the start of the season next week. Trainer Tim Walter’s team defeated the original SC Freiburg team on Friday with 4:2. The meeting at the Freiburg training camp in the Austrian Schruns was played over four times 30 minutes.
Daniel Didavi (25.), Mario Gomez (55.), Gonzalo Castro (57.) and Tanguy Coulibaly (107.) met for the Swans. Marco Terrazzino (101.) and Woo-Yeong Jeong (117) shot the gates for Freiburg.
Bitter for the Swans: Kalajdzic injured himself in the game against the Bundesliga. According to sports director Thomas Hitzlsperger “a drop of wormwood”.
Stuttgart meets at the beginning of the 2nd. Bundesliga next Friday (20:30 o’clock) at the Hannover 96. The VfB now entered the sixth victory in the eighth test game. For Freiburg it was the first defeat after two victories in the season preparation.
