Stay with Borussia Dortmund, return to Real Madrid or change to FC Bavaria Munich? Achraf Hakimi leaves his future open beyond the season. But a contract detail could play into the cards for the BVB.
“I don’t know, I really don’t know. I remain relaxed and enjoy the time in Dortmund,”said the flexible foreign defender at the edge of the CAF Awards in Egyptian Hurghada on Tuesday, referring to his plans.
The 21-year-old had for the second time in a row removed the title as Africa’s best junior player at the awards. It was only at the end of December that he was awarded the best Arab junior player of the year.
Hakimi is still awarded to the BVB by next summer from Real. He then returned to Madrid, despite intensive efforts to make a firm commitment to Madrid. However, speculation has recently been growing that the FC Bavaria has also had its eye on the arrow-fast shooting star. However, if the Youngster really becomes a serious issue with the Munich people, the BVB should at least have a word to say.
According to the “picture” the black-eyed ones have secured a so-called matching right at the conclusion of the Hakimi loan in the summer 2018. Real Madrid is therefore obliged to inform Dortmund about possible offers from other clubs. The BVB would thus be given the opportunity to outbid potential bidders.
Hakimi completed mandatory games for the BVB during the current season 26, being used as a right, left defender as well as on both offensive wings and participated in twelve meetings (six goals, six assistants).
