The head of the EU Commission has strongly criticised the creation of a European Super League in football.
“”We must defend a value-oriented European sports model based on diversity and inclusiveness”, The Greek Vice-President of the Commission, Margaritis Schinas, tweeted.
Twelve top European clubs had previously decided to create a Super League and thus caused an earthquake in international football.
The Spanish clubs, According to their own information, however, England and Italy want to remain part of their national leagues and compete during the week. The clubs are nevertheless taking a confrontation course to the European Football Union (UEFA), which had previously threatened to ban clubs and players.
