Furious Gladbachers back to rank one

Homeseries expanded, table leading before the duel with FC Bavaria Munich asserts: Borussia Munich has continued to hold the autumn championship in its sights after a furious offensive whirlwind.

Coach Marco Rose’s team defeated the SC Freiburg with 4:2 (1:1) and is also located after the 13th. Game day with a point lead on RB Leipzig at the top of the Bundesliga.

Marcus Thuram (3.), Breel Embolo (46., 71.) and Patrick Herrmann (51.) provided a week before the top match against the FC Bavaria for the fifth league home victory of the foals in series. It did not bother Embolo that he put a foulelfmeter on the posts (49.).

Jonathan Schmid (6.) had initially balanced for the surprise team from Breisgau, Lucas Cavler achieved the intermediate match (58). In the end, the Fridays had to give up after four games without losing.

Marco Rose throws the rotating machine at Gladbach

Rose changed his team in contrast to the happy success in the Europa League at Wolfsberger AC (1:0) in five positions, But the first warning shot was fired by the guests. Nico Schlotterbeck failed with his direct descent but to goalkeeper Yann Sommer (1.).

It was the starting signal for a turbulent initial phase in front of 51.080 spectators in Borussia Park. A harmless head-fall by Rami Bensebaini, the Freiburg Schlussmann Mark Flekken, took advantage of the mistake and dusted off to his sixth season-tor.

The joy with the hosts lasted only briefly. Schmid circled a 17-metre free kick to balance the net. It should remain the last successful offensive action of the team of trainer Christian Streich in the first half. The Freiburgers acted too incorrectly in the construction and pass game.

The Gladbachers used the resulting ball wins for their feared switching game. Particularly the strong Thuram was not in control at all, his opponent Manuel Gulde often looked bad.

Thuram failed at spots (21.), then he met the post (25). Since Herrmann also found his master in spots (30.), it went with a flattering indiscretion for the SC into the break.

SC Freiburg loses order after the break for a short time

This should not last long, however, the hosts came very impressively from the cabin. After a ball loss by Lucas Heller against Nico Elvedi it went very quickly. A nice interaction with Herrmann took advantage of Embolo after the new leadership.

The Fribourg people now completely lost order. Dominique Heintz killed Embolo in the penalty room, but the ex-con did it too precisely. The storm continued unannounced. After Embolo’s preliminary work, Herrmann relentlessly moved to 3:1.

But the prank team fought back. Hell hit per head, four minutes later rescued Bensebaini for the already beaten summer on the line. But the strong embolus restored the old distance with its second gate.
