Last-minute hit! Leipzig rewards itself against Hoffenheim

Willi Orban has prevented Julian Nagelsmann from winning over future employer RB Leipzig. Due to the late encounter of the captain (89), the Leipzigers fought against the TSG Hoffenheim for Coach Nagelsmann on Monday evening at the end of the 23rd. Football Bundesliga matches a 1:1 (0:1). Although RB remains undefeated in the fifth game in a row, he missed the jump to third place.

Orban resembled the leadership of Hoffenheims Andrej Kramaric (22.) and thus prevented a sensitive damper in the race around the royal class. However, RB as the fourth only has four meters ahead of the Fifth VfL Wolfsburg (38 points). For example, Nagelsmann, who hires RB Leipzig as head coach for a new season, has to be afraid of Champions League evenings. Hoffenheim is also in the race around Europe as a rear (34 points).

“In the end, the indecision goes well. We’ve earned our leadership. In the second half, we didn’t let the ball go so well. In the end, the pressure was too great,”TSG professional Florian Grillitsch said after the game at”Eurosport”. Archer Orban saw it similar: “The first half goes clearly to Hoffenheim. In the second half we had much more access.”

Hoffenheim starts bravely

Prior to 33.569 spectators in the Leipzig World Cup arena Nagelsmann gave at the beginning a taste of the football that RB fans can expect in the coming season. At first Hoffenheim acted courageously and with great speed over the left side, but without becoming really dangerous.

Leipzig, who had to cope without the short-term ailing storm star Timo Werner, was offensively little remembered. Thus, TSG defender Pavel Kaderabek (17) recorded the first chance of the game.

Joelinton withdraws, Kramaric pushes in

Without Emil Forsberg (inner band) and Kevin Kampl (toe), who first sat on the bench after their surviving injuries, Leipzig clearly lacked the playful element in his attacks.

Defensiv RB in the first half significantly more errors than the opponent, so the leadership was no surprise. A shot by Joelinton, who was rounded by Leipzig media reports, was only cleared by RB goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi at the feet of Kramaric, who put the plunger in.

After the delay RB dared a little more, but needed up to 45. Minute to the first possibility by middle fielder Konrad Laimer, who disarmed TSG goalkeeper Oliver Baumann.

Kampl brings momentum to the Leipzig game

In the second half RB tried hard for more parts and more compelling opportunities, but at first it did not want to work as well. Significant that a headfall from Orban (54.) to the free-kick flank of Marcel Halstenberg set the first scent mark of the second pass. Baumann, however, held strong.

A little more Esprit in the forward movement came with the change of Kampl (61). In his first action a few seconds later, the Slovenian immediately sent storm Matheus Cunha by stealth pass, who however forgave lamentably. In the following, RB settled down in the Hoffenheimer half and pressed for the Lucky Punch, which was a successful internal defender Orban with his fourth seasonal repertoire.
