Monza confirmed: Italy Grand Prix without fans

The Italian Grand Prix in Monza will definitely not allow any spectators, the organizer announced on Wednesday.

So far the option had been left open to some spectators, because Formula One wants to start again in the autumn with fans on the track.

For the race in Russia (27th September) tickets are already being sold, and Portimao (25th October) would also like to hold the race in front of spectators.

Actually Formula 1 Monza was the first non-ghost in sight, but also the Italian Grand Prix will take place with empty stands.

The Italian Grand Prix 2020 formula 1 on the Autodromo Nazionale Monza from 4th to 6th September will take place behind closed doors, i.e. without spectators,”confirms a statement of the line.”The Italian Grand Prix 2020 The tickets already purchased will be refunded at full price.”

Since all events will be ghost races, the new race in Tuscany in Mugello is now the possible first test balloon with fans. Whether this is possible depends on the plans of the local government and the restrictions at the time. The Nurburgring ring also keeps the option of individual viewers open.
