Handball-Pechvogel Gisli Kristjansson of the Bundesliga SC Magdeburg has to be operated again on the left shoulder and falls out for a long time. This was announced by the former Champions League winner on Monday.
The 21-year-old Icelander had fallen on his shoulder on Saturday at the 29:24-year-old victory against the foxes Berlin at his second hit and was led out of the hall in great pain and with the warm participation of players and opponents. An MRI at the Magdeburg University Clinic confirmed the initial concerns.
“In the next few days the scope and location of the operation will be decided, so that only after the next operation can an initial forecast of the duration of the injury be made”, the SCM informed.
Kristjansson had been injured for the first time at the WM 2019 on the shoulder of the throwing arm and had been operated on. In the same year, he fell on the operating shoulder in the T-shirt of the THW Kiel. Another operation on the left shoulder was due after an injury at his comeback game, the first bet for Magdeburg in February 2020.
