Pavard denies firm commitment to the FC Bavaria

World Champion Benjamin Pavard has also contradicted reports that a change to record champion Bavaria Munich is already fixed.

“I did not promise anyone anything,” said 22-year-old Frenchman in an exclusive interview with “Sky”: “But clearly I am honoured by the interest of the Bavarians. I don’t rule out staying here in Germany. On Monday, while Bavarian President Uli Hoeness confirmed his interest in Pavard, he refused to reach an agreement.

Pavard did not want to leave the VfB through the back door”

Already last summer, there were”some concrete offers”for Pavard.”Pavard wanted to go through the back door”

I couldn’t have imagined leaving the VfB through the back door like a thief! I owe VfB a great deal. I grew up in Stuttgart, also a national player. The club has always believed in me, and that’s why I’m here today as world champion. I didn’t want to end all this after two seasons and say, “That’s it, thank you.” I owe this to the VfB,”said Pavard, who won the World Cup title in Russia with the French National Team in the summer.

The Frenchman has been a permanent burner in the Swabians for a year and a half in the internal defense of the VfB. Since returning to the Bundesliga in the year 2017, the right foot has been on the lawn for all the 47 Bundesliga matches of Stuttgart 90 minutes.
