In the quarter finals around the DHB Cup, the German champion THW Kiel and the cup defender SG Flensburg-Handewitt will play the top game. This resulted in the draw in Berlin.
The quarter final takes place on December 16th. The winner qualifies for the final round tournament Final4 on the 30th of April and 1st of May 2016 in Hamburg.
“We would like to go there again,” said Kiel’s CEO Thorsten Storm on TV Sport1. In the last two games Kiel had missed the Final4. We have to get through this now. Of course, it’s not dreamless,”said Flensburg’s manager Dierk Schmushchke.
As the second leading game next to the North Derby, Lena Schoenborn, Olympic champion in the Modern Five-match, drew the match between the undefeated Bundesliga First Rhine Neckar Lion and the Table Three MT Melsung. In another Bundesliga duel, SC Magdeburg and Frisch are facing Gapertingen. The fourth quarter-finals are contested by the Bergische HC and Zweitligist GWD Minden.
